Air Cooled Condensing Unit
An Air Cooled Condensing Unit is a key refrigeration system component designed to remove heat from refrigerant vapor and convert it into liquid form using ambient air. It is widely used in commercial and industrial refrigeration systems such as cold rooms, food storage, dairy plants, pharmaceuticals, and process cooling applications.
This system combines a compressor, air-cooled condenser, receiver, and control components into a single compact unit. It is designed for efficient heat rejection without the need for cooling water or cooling towers, making it a simple, cost-effective, and low-maintenance solution.
At HiTech Sales & Service, we manufacture and supply high-performance Air Cooled Condensing Units engineered for durability, energy efficiency, and reliable operation in demanding industrial environments.

Working Principle
An Air Cooled Condensing Unit operates on the vapor compression refrigeration cycle and is responsible for condensing refrigerant vapor into liquid by rejecting heat into the surrounding air.
1. Compression Stage
The refrigerant vapor from the evaporator enters the compressor, where it is compressed into a high-pressure, high-temperature gas.
2. Heat Rejection (Condensation)
The hot refrigerant gas flows into the air-cooled condenser. Axial fans force ambient air over the condenser coils, removing heat from the refrigerant and allowing it to condense into a high-pressure liquid.
3. Liquid Storage (Receiver)
The condensed liquid refrigerant is stored in a receiver tank to ensure a steady and controlled supply of refrigerant to the expansion device.
4. Expansion Process
The liquid refrigerant passes through an expansion valve, where its pressure and temperature are reduced, preparing it for heat absorption in the evaporator.
5. Continuous Refrigeration Cycle
The refrigerant returns to the evaporator, absorbs heat from the refrigerated space or process, and repeats the cycle continuously to maintain the required cooling temperature.
